Abstract
The corrosion behaviors in chloride medium solutions of copper alloy (HSn701B) used in power plant condensers were investigated using electrochemical noise measurements. The potential noise was monitored and analyzed by fast Fourier transform (FFT), fast wavelet transform (FWT), shot noise theory and statistic theory. The results show that the corrosion of HSn701B alloy in circulating water was mainly expressed in the form of localized corrosion. The high concentration of Cl- may promote the corrosion behavior, which will result in serious pitting corrosion. Electrochemical noise(EN) is an efficient technology to monitor the corrosion process of copper alloy in circulating water.
