    A New Technology of Anodic Qxidation for Magnesium Alloy AZ40

    • A new environmentally anodizing electrolyte for AZ40 magnesium alloy was developed by using AC voltage regulator method and orthogonal test.The film had good corrosion resistance and the film forming was rapid by adding a new film-forming additive.After sealing process,the corrosion current density of coating was 0.503 μA/cm2.XRD analysis indicated that the oxide film composed mainly of Mg,MgO,SiO2 and magnesium silicate.SEM analysis showed that the bond between film and substrate of magnesium was good.
