    NDT Technology Research Status of Internal Defect Detection for Oil and Gas Pipelines

    • The latest technologies and related researches of internal corrosion defect detection for oil and gas pipelines were summarized. The NDT technologies were introduced one by one, such as magnetic leakage flux testing, ultrasonic testing, pulsed eddy current testing, optical testing and radiographic testing. The working principle, advantages/disadvantages, and range of application were listed. The existing problems and developing trend of pipeline inspection technology were introduced briefly.
