ADSORPTION BEHAVIOR ON STEEL SURFACE AND CORROSION INHIBITING ACTION OF POLYOXYETHYLENE BENZYL AMMONIUM CHLORIDE

    • Polyoxyethylene benzyl ammonium chloride(PBAC) was synthesized from benzel chloride. Its corrosion inhibition for 20# carbon steel in H2S,HCl and NaCl solutions was examined by using weight loss and polarization curve methods. The adsorpion bihavior of PBAC on steel surface was analyzed by using adsorption theory and co-adsorption model as well as adsorption thermodynamic theory. It was showed that PBAC attained good inhibition effect.
