DESIGN OF CATHODIC PROTECTION TO LONG TRANSMISSION BURIED PIPELINES IN DESERT REGIONS

A great deal of long gas transmission pipelines have been built in the west desert region in accordance with the policy of west exploitation.But the normal sacrificial anodes or shallow buried groundbeds of impressed current cathodic protection do not work very well because the soil resistivity is so high and the groundwater is so deeply.So the deep well anodes are used more and more in the desert region.The application of new type of impressed current deep groundbeds to pipelines built in Erdos in Neimeng Province was introduced.
