Corrosion Reasons of Produced Liquid by Polymer Flooding

Polymer flooding is an important measure to the production stabilize and increase in the latter period of oil field development.However,after using polymer flooding,the tube wells in Gudong Oil Field exhibit more serious corrosion.The influences of salinity,temperature,polymer concentration,amount of sand,stirring rate,bacterial content of polymer flooding on corrosion rate were analyzed.The remnant polymer of polymer flooding has some corrosion inhibition effect,but with the increase of polymer content,the corrosion rate caused by polymer flooding increases,and becomes more serious than that caused by water flooding due to the increase of viscosity and capacity of suspended solids and bacteria in polymer flooding.
