      • Abstract
    • The inwall corrosion of failed T0103 distillation tower of benzoic acid was investigated by chemical method, optical microscopy and SEM. The results showed that the corrosive groove of the tower inwall was formed due to the corrosion of repaired weld zone. The welding rod used to repaire failed to match with 316L stainless steel of tower basic, which induced the corrosion of the tower inwall.
