Abstract
The inhibition effect of corrosion and scale inhibitor WJF-6 on Q235 steel in simulated seawater circulation cooling water was studied by rotary coupon corrosion tests. The corrosion mechanism of the inhibitor was investigated by electrochemical methods such as polarization curve and linear polarization. The scale inhibition performance of the inhibitor was studied by static antiscale method. The influence of seawater concentration ratio on corrosion and scale inhibitor WJF-6 in simulated seawater circulation cooling water was tested. The results showed that the corrosion inhibition efficiency was 91.8% by non-pass air weight loss test with four parallel samples, linear velocity of 0.3 m/s, and rotation of 72 h at 50 ℃ when the concentration ratio of seawatewr was three times. The results of linear polarization showed that the polarization resistance greatly increased by adding 75mg/L corrosion and scale inhibitor WJF-6 with an inhibition efficiency of 81.3%. The corrosion inhibition of the corrosion and scale inhibitor WJF-6 is to restrain the anodic process of electrode reaction. The corrosion rate was lower than 0.125 mm/a and scale inhibition rate was more than 90% when the concentration ratio of seawater.
