    Application of Anti-corrosion Treatment Technique to Inner Surface of Backwashing Seawater Pipeline in Nuclear Power Plant

    • Influenced by chloride ion in seawater, the inner surface of backwashing pipeline is easy to corrode, especially in the position of welded joint. The surfacing welding technique was employed to optimize the welding procedure. Furthermore, the techniques of electrochemical passivation and zinc plug cathodic protection were used to improve the corrosion-resistance of the inner surface of backwashing seawater pipeline. Case study in engineering practice showed that the proposed combined anti-corrosion treatment technique was available and could significantly prolong the service life of backwashing seawater pipeline.
