Feasibility and Design Elements of Cathodic Protection for City Gas Pipeline Network

The cathodic protection design for city gas pipeline network is a difficult point in the natural gas engineering applications. On the basis of corrosion and protection status of city gas pipeline network, combining with the design practice of Lhasa in 2012, the necessity and feasibility of cathodic protection of city gas pipeline network are demonstrated. The design points for the cathodic protection system of steel town gas pipeline network are summarized.
