Uncertainty Evaluation of Laboratory Immersion Test Method of Uniform Corrosion for a Specific Surface on Thermal Bimetallic Material

    • Uniform corrosion immersion test is an important basic to measure corrosion performacnce of metallic materials. There are many factors which affect the corrosion rate, such as instrumental uncertainty and measurement reproducibility. To grasp the accuracy of experimental data, uniform corrosion immersion test was carried out on a specific surface of thermal bimetallic material at room temperature in 5% sulphuric acid solution for 24 h. The uncertainty of the corrosion rate was evaluated with satisfactory results.
