Abstract
The corrosion behavior of ultra-fine grain (UFG) chromium bronze prepared by equal-channel angular pressing (ECAP) in HCl solutions was studied by electrochemical method and immersion method. The results showed that the Ecorr value of UFG specimen was higher than that of coarse grain (CG) specimen, but the change of the immersion weight loss rate was small. The immersion weight-loss rate of UFG specimen was 5%~15% higher than that of CG specimen in the initial stage and 5%~15% lower in the later stage. The results of SEM showed that the corrosion form was changed by ECAP process. Intergranular corrosion was mainly happened for CG specimen in the initial stage and then changed to the uniform corrosion. Uniform corrosion occured for UFG chromiun bronze for the whole time.
