Effect of Imidazoline Inhibitors on Corrosion Performance of J55 Steel in Simulated CO2 Flooding Environment

    • The effect of inhibitors on the performance of J55 steel in simulated CO2 flooding environment added two kinds of imidazoline inhibitors was investigated by means of polarization curves and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS). The parameters of thermal dynamics of electrochemical corrosion were fitted and analyzed, and the inhibition efficiencies were also calculated. The results indicated that the corrosion current density decreased with increasing the contents of inhibitors. Due to the effect of inhibitors, the charge transfer resistance was greater than that under the blank condition. In addition, modified imidazoline inhibitor has better inhibition performance than imidazoline inhibitor for CO2 corrosion.
