Abstract
Galvanic corrosion tendency and degree between industrial pure titanium(TA2 ) and albata(B10 ) in seawater of different velocities with different area ratios of cathode/anode were investigated by the galvanic corrosion experiments. The electrical insulation criterion of TA2 and B10 was studied by connecting different insulated resistances between TA2 and B10.The results showed that the galvanic corrosion tendency between the two materials was evident. The corrosion rates of B10 increased after coupling, and increased with the increase of area ratio of cathode/anode and the increase of the seawater flowing velocity.Under the test conditions, the galvanic corrosion could be avoided when the contacting resistance was higher than 56 kΩ.
