Abstract
Ni-ZrO2 composite coatings were prepared by electrodeposition method, the influence of cathodic current density, ZrO2 concentration in electrolyte and temperature on the hardness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance of composite coatings were studied. The results show that the coating hardness first increased, and then decreased with the increase of cathodic current density and solution temperature. With the increase of nano-ZrO2 content in electrolyte, the coating hardness increased. The wear resistance of the coatings first increased and then reduced with the increase of these technological parameters. The corrosion resistance of coatings first declined and then rised with the increase of current density, and corrosion resistance of the coatings increased at first and then droppeds with the increased of nano-ZrO2 content in electrolyte and temperature. The optimized process parameters were ZrO2 of 8 g/L, cathodic current density of 3 A/dm2 and temperature of 50 ℃.
