    Action Mechanism of Aluminum Alloy Polishing with Low Nitric Acid Bath at Room Temperature

    • An aluminun alloy polishing bath LB was initiated.Its advantages were room temperature operation,free from nitrogen gassing of oxides,less metal loss and low cost.The effects of components of the solution was analyzed,and the mechanism of the action of nitric acid in aluminum polishing was discussed.The mechanism of chemical polishing was described by means of anodic polarization curves of passive metals.
