Abstract
Three new kinds of p-aminobenzoic acid Schiff base (A1, A2, A3) were synthesized. Using boric acid esterification synthesized ethylene glycol mono-laurate. And the Schiff bases with polyethylene glycol mono-laurate were condensed into three polyethylene glycol mono-laurate Schiff base surfactants(B1, B2, B3).Infrared spectroscopy (IR) was used to analyze the structure of A1, A2, A3 and B1, B2, B3. And the surface activity of B1, B2 and B3 was measured. The weight loss method and scanning electron microscopy were used to study the corrosion inhibition performance of B1, B2 and B3 for carbon steel in oilfield water. Experimental results show that the three kinds of surfactants have good corrosion inhibition performance. With increasing concentration, corrosion inhibition rate increased gradually, when the concentration was 100 mg/L the inhibition performance was the best, reached more than 80%. the order of inhibition ability was B3>B2>B1.
