Abstract
Immersion test and electrochemical test were used to study the corrosion resistance of carbon steel, brass and stainless steel used in desalinated seawater. The results show that the uniform corrosion of carbon steel, and brass dezincification corrosion occured. The corrosion rates of carbon steel and brass increased with temperature increasing. Electrochemical test results of stainless steel show that with the rise of temperature, the stainless steel pitting corrosion resistance reduced. The added medicaments had a little effect on stainless steel pitting inhibition.
