The chloridesin in crude oil are harmful to refinery units, especially, even if the inorganic chloride salts were removed well through the crude oil desalination, the corrosion of wet hydrogen chloride and deposition of chloride salts may appear because of hydrolysis and thermal degradation of the organic chlorides in refinery process.
