Application of Linear Anode to Regional Cathodic Protection in Compressor Station in Yangqu

A linear anode ground bed is applied to the regional cathodic protection of Yangqu compressor station in Shanxi-Beijing Gas Pipeline III. Closed-loop installation and a set of anode junction box are used according to the linear anode current and potential distribution characteristics. Field tests show that the usage of linear anode overcomes the interference and shielding of regional cathodic protection in the compressor station.
