Simulating Study of the Influence of CO2 on Corrosion in Oil pipelines

    • Carbon dioxide is a species of weak acidic gas,it is an corrosive in oil and gas industries. The influencing factors of CO2 corrosion are discussed and analyzed for simulated extraction water of oil-field in which carbon dioxide dissolved. The characters of two common used oilfield corrosion inhibitors,HJF-94 and WSL-1,were tested. The results showed a good effect of inhibition after using the two corrosion inhibitors in the ranges of lower and higher concentrations. In this experiment, the WSL-1 exhibited better effect than the HJF-94 and the best effect appeared in high concentrations.
