Comparison and Selection of External Anti-corrosive Joint Coating Materials of Oil and Gas pipelines

The external anticorrosive joint coating of pipeline referred to the preservative quality of the whole pipeline is the weak links resulting in the pipeline failure.Among the numerous anti-corrosion materials,how to choose joint coating material to meet the many requirements such as the anti-corrosion properties and construction conditions is of the utmost importance.Many problems existing in the pipeline anticorrosion joint-coating were analyzed.The properties of about 10 types of anti-corrosion joint-coating materials were evaluated.On this basis,the compared research concept was used to construct comparison and selection index system of anticorrosion joint coating materials,and to evaluate material on the basis of the extent of various materials conforming to the index system.3 layers of PE,2 layers of FBE and polyurea are recommended as the current best anti-corrosion joint-coating materials.
