SCC Behaviour of Nickel Base Alloy 6690 Heat Exchange Tubes

To inspect the SCC susceptibility of heat exchanger tubes of steam generator, an accelerated SCC test was performed. C-ring samples with different circumferential stresses were tested in boiling magnesium chloride solution with a boiling point of 155 ℃ according to ASTM standards. The average corrosion rate of C-ring samples was calculated. The corrosion resistance of heat exchanger tubes were evaluated.
