    IR Analysis of Corrosion Products on Ammunition Elements in Simulate Island Environments

    • A corrosion test method was proposed for simulating the island environment and studying the corrosion of ammunition elements. The corrosion test of D60 steel, 8# copper detonator and propellant as the substitute of ammunition elements was carried in the simulation experiment of high temperature, high humidity and high salt. The infrared spectroscopy(IR) was used to analyze all kinds of products such as iron rust, verdigris and so on. The corrosion mechanisms were presented according to the components and characters of corrosion products.
