    Corrosion Failure and Countermeasures of Air Cooler in Atmospheric and Vacuum Distillation Unit

    • The corrosion failure reasons of an air cooler in the atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit were analyzed.by using macroscopic appearance observation,chemcal analysis,energy spectrum analysis,X-ray diffraction and scanning electronic microscopy observation.The results indicated that the mode of the air cooler corrosion was asymmetrical general corrosion induced by HCl-H2S-H2O environment.Some countermeasures are suggested.
