DEVELOPMENT OF MMO COATED TITANIUM ANODE FOR CATHOLIC PROTECTION IN SOIL

Mixed metal oxide (MMO) coated titanium anode was prepared by thermal decomposition process.The electrochemical behavior of the anode in soil was studied.Surface morphology was observed by SEM.The relationship of the anode lifetime to the coating thickness and anode current density was studied.The MMO coated Ti anode exhibited superior electrochemical performance and long durability.So the MMO anode will be a kind of ideal auxiliary anode for impress current cathodic protection in soil.
