Effect of Annealing on Performance of Al Alloy Anodes Prepared by Different Rolling Technologies

    • Modern examination techniques such as hydrogen evolution testing, galvanodynamic (E-T curves) method,Tafel curves,SEM and EDX were applied to analyze the electrochemical properties of Al alloy anodes treated with different hot rolling pass deformation degrees in alkaline solution (80 ℃,Na2SnO3 + 5 mol/L NaOH).The results showed that after annealing when the pass deformation was 30% and 40%,the activity of Al alloy anode decreased while the anti-corrosion properties improved. When rolling pass deformation was 50%,the segregation phase became fine and uniform distribution, the amount of active elements Sn and In in segregation phase largely reduced, the comprehensive properties of the anode was improved.Under the condition of hot rolling temperature 400 ℃ and pass deformation 40%,the Al alloy anode gained the best performance after annealing at 510 ℃ for 5 h.
