Abstract
According to the environments of the sour oil and gas field in south-west area of China, high temperature and high pressure autoclave, electrochemical and stress corrosion cracking (SCC) tests were used to evaluate the corrosion resistant properties of the new-type alloy 3YC61 produced domestically in wet H2S Media. The results showed that the alloy has good resistance to general corrosion and SCC, the mean corrosion rate is superior to the requirement of corresponding standards for the metal materials used in sour oil and gas fields.
