Abstract
Simulating experiment of corrosion behavior of X60 steel in CO2-saturated oilfield water containing sand was conducted. The effect of sand on the corrosion rate of X60 steel was studied by weight-loss method. SEM was used to observe the effect of sand on corrosion morphology of X60 steel. The results showed that the presence of sand decreased the corrosion rate of X60 steel in static CO2-saturated oilfield water, at the same time, the trend of X60 steel to localized corrosion decreased significantly. When the content of sand was high, the effect of sand on CO2 corrosion of X60 steel had no significant difference between static and dynastic(the flow rate was low) conditions.
