Abstract
Using diethylenetriamine and oleic acid as the main raw materials, an imidazoline inhibitor was synthesized by conjunction with solvent and vacuum methods. Static and dynamic weight loss methods, electrochemical polarization curves and SEM analysis were used to evaluate the performance of the corrosion inhibitor. The inhibition rate of this inhibitor for A3 steel was up to 96.63% in three specific corrosive environments with 0.5% concentration. Electrochemical polarization curves and SEM analysis show that the A3 steel surface formed a clearly protective membrane. This inhibitor is a kind of mixed inhibitor, its function mechanism belongs to “geometric overlay effect”, mainly inhibits the anodic reaction, and is able to effectively reduce the corrosion of A3 steel in three specific media.
