Metallography Investigation of Hydrogen-induced Stress Corrosion Cracking for High-strength Steels

    • Metallographical track investigation of stress corrosion cracking of high-strength steels WOL constant displacement specimen indicated that the slip line of stress corrosion cracking of high-strength steels preexistence in notch front-end before the appearance of micro-cracks,hydrogen induced slip line and displacement step was caused by dislocation motion.Hydrogen could accelerate the local plastic deformation and the micro-crack appearance in gap front-end when the local plastic deformation run to critical condition.
