Urotropine as a Corrosion Inhibitor in Hydrochloric Acid Solution

The corrosion inhibition and adsorption behavior of urotropine for carbon steel in a hydrochloric acid solution were studied by wetght loss method.The results showed that with increasing urotropine concentration to 1.5%,the maximum of inhibition efficiency was observed.When the concentration of urotropine was greater than 1.5% and with temperature increasing,urotropine made inhibition efficiency decreased.The experimental result is conformed to the engineering practice.
