Abstract
The film-forming effect at low and high temperatures of a new kind of compound inhibitor based on octadecylamine was studied, with taking two kinds of traditional inhibitors, pure octadecyamine and pure imidazoline, as comparison tests, in order to compare the film-forming effect of these three inhibitors. Coupon test was performed with an autoclave simulating the on-site water-vapor environment of power plant. The film-forming effect of the specimens and the corrosion-resistance of the protective film were evaluated by hydrophobic test, acid copper sulfate drip test, EIS test and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) test. The gas chromatograph mass spectrometer GC-MS was used to analyze the decomposition products of the compound inhibitor after coupon test at high temperature. The results show that the compound inhibitor can form film well whether at low temperature or at high temperature and no low-molecular-weight organic acids and other harmful ingredients were found in decomposition products. The compound inhibitor can be applied to practice safely and efficiently.
