    INHIBITION OF BTA AND HMMP TO X70 STEEL IN H2S WEAK ACIDIC SOLUTION

    • The inhibitive effect of benzotriazole (BTA) and synergistic inhibitive effect of BTA and 4-hydroxy-2-mercapto-6-methyl-primidine (HMMP) on the corrosion of X70 steel in H2S weak acidic solution was studied by means of static weight loss,potentiodynamic polarization curves,electrochemical impendence spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy.HMMP was a mixed inhibitor that mainly restrain the anodic process,the inhibition increased gradually with the increasing of its concentration within the range of concentration studied.A synergistic inhibitive effect of BTA and HMMP combined inhibitors on the corrosion of X70 steel was observed.The optimal concentration was 100mg/L and the optimal concentration ratio was 3∶1.
