Current Status and Trends of Application Process for Heat Shrinkable Sleeve Field Joint Coating System Based on Polyethylene

  • The characteristics and problems of traditional heat shrinkable sleeve field joint coating application are introduces. Based on those problems, new field joint coating application techniques are proposed, incloding dry film process, infrared heating process and medium frequency induction heating process, which have been proved by practices to be helpful for improving the quality and efficiency of the joint, and to be able to ensure the integrity of the new pipelines.
