    Inhibition Performance of Inorganic Composite Inhibitors for Carbon Steel

    • The inhibitive effect of composite inhibitors on carbon steel was studied in 20% sodium chloride solution by weight loss,polarization curves and EIS.The inhibition efficiency of sodium hexametaphosphate was only 74.2%.When sodium hexametaphosphate was compounded with sodium benzoate,sodium tungstate,sodium phosphate and sodium silicate respectively,the inhibition efficiency of composite inhibitor of sodium hexametahposphate and sodium silicate was the best.When the ratio of sodium hexametaphosphate to sodium silicate was 2∶1,the concentration of composite inhibitor was 6.0 g/L,the inhibition efficiency was 97.2%.
