Corrosion Inhibition Property of SMA/PESA and Its Complex Corrosion Inhibitors for A3 Steel

The inhibition effect of corrosion inhibitors such as sulfonicmethaneaminopolyepoxy-succinic(SMA/PESA) and its complex for carbon steel in simulated water was evaluated by rotary coupon corrosion test.The results indicate that the Na2WO4 showed the best inhibition efficiency of 68.55% in the concentration of 200 mg/L,the best inhibition efficieny of SMA/PESA was up to 85.9% when its concentration was 100 mg/L,also Zn2+ showed the best inhibition efficiency when its concentration reached 35 mg/L.When the total concentration of corrosion inhibitors was 70 mg/L and the ratio of SMA/PESA to Na2WO4 was 9∶1,the inhibition effciency was up to 87.96%,and the coinhibition efficiency could reach 93.76% by adding 4 mg/L zinc sulfate to the complex inhibitor.The SMA/PESA has a good synergistic effect with Na2WO4 and Zn2+.
