Abstract
The oxide scale of water quenched high strength steel plates is extremely thin and inhomogeneous, thus a proper pickling process and corrosion inhibitor must be used to prevent the over-pickling and to decrease the loss of steel substrate. The effects of temperature, hydrochloric acid concentration and Fe2+ concentration on the pickling behavior of water quenched high strength steel plates were investigated by orthogonal tests, and the efficiency of two kinds of corrosion inhibitor A and B was evaluated. The results showed that temperature had the most obvious effect on the pickling rate, and the inhibitor A had a better effect to prevent the corrosion of substrate.
