Scaling Corrosion Analysis and Control Measures of Downhole Tubing in Yakela Wells

The formation water in Yakela gas field has the characteristics of high salinity, high acidity and containing CO2, H2S and Cl-, resulting in scaling corrosion of the downhole tubing in some work areas repeatedly. The corrosion environment, quality of produced liquid, scaling corrosion product of the tubing were analyzed to study the corrosion mechanism of the tubing, and to analyze the corrosion reason. The results show that the sealing and corrosion product is mainly FeCO3; scaling products are mainly composed of CaCO3 and a small amount of MgCO3. According to the situation at the gas field site, some corrosion prevention measures are propsed.
