Numerical Simulation of Sacrificial Anode System for Ballast Tank

    • Numerical simulation calculation is an effective method to study the sacrificial anode cathodic protection. The boundary element method software was used to simulate the sacrificial anode cathodic protection of ballast tanks. The results showed that the potential distribution on the surface of ballast tank changed greatly(from -800 to -1 100 mV vs Ag/AgCl) according to general design, but the potential distribution changed slightly(from -890 to -1 110 mV vs Ag/AgCl), and the surface was protected better by adjusting the anode places.
