Corrosion Behavior of 13Cr Stainless Steel and Nickel-base Alloy Tubes Caused by Surface Scratch Damage

    • The corrosion behavior and mechanism of 13Cr stainless steel and nickel-base alloy tubes caused by surface scratch damage were studied by using salt spray testing and electrochemical testing. The results showed that different corrosion behaviors appeared after 13Cr stainless steel and nickel-base alloy scratched by copper or 45# steel. The corrosion pouduct of 45# steel retained on the surface was the main reason of the corrosion of 13Cr stainless steel and nickel-base alloy.
