Appication of Lumped Ground to Reducing AC Interference Voltage on Pipeline

    • If the interference voltage applied on the buried steel pipeline is high enough, there will be a severe influence on the facilities connected to the pipeline, the risk of AC corrosion and safety problem of oprators will increase. To reduce the impact caused by AC interference, the interference voltage should be decreased in acceptable range. The application of lumped ground and the proper requirements of solid-state DC decoupler used in pipeline engineering are summarized, based on the applied engineering experience. These conclusions may have guiding role for the design of protection engineering against AC interference on buried steel pipelines.
