Corrosion Products and Corrosion Behavior of Tubing Steel in CO2/H2S Environment

    • The corrosion products of tubing steels in CO2/H2S environmental was analyzed. It was found that at about 100 ℃, the formed FeS film was more protective than FeCO3. The corrosion behavior was studied at different partial pressure ratios. When CO2 partial pressure was stable, increasing the H2S partial pressure would result in a maximum of the corrosion rate. When the H2S partial pressure was stable, the corrosion rate increased with the increase of CO2 partial pressure. The result is helpful to complete the theory of CO2/H2S corrosion and selection of tubing steels.
