Effect of Impact Power on Corrosive Wear of Medium Carbon Alloy Steel

    • Wear characteristics and mechanisms of a medium carbon alloy steel after quenching at 900 ℃ and low temperature tempering at 200 ℃ were investigated under the condition of impact corrosive wear. The results showed that the wear resistance of the medium carbon alloy steel decreased significantly with increasing impact power.Spalling cracks were initiated and propagated at the surface.Wear failure mechanisms of the medium carbon alloy steel under the condition of impact corrosion transformed from dominated shallow peeling to dominated deep delamination, when impact power increased from 2.1 J to 3.6 J.
