AFM and Electro-chemical Analysis of Pitting Corrosion of 2205 Duplex Stainless Steel in HCl Solution

In order to study the pitting corrosion of 2205 duplex stainless steel(2205DSS) in 0.5 mol/L and 1 mol/L HCl solution,the pitting corrosion morphology of 2205DSS in 0.5 mol/L and 1 mol/L HCl solutions were analyzed by atomic force microscope (AFM) at different time;potentiodynamic polarrization curves were tested to evaluate the pitting corrosion resistance of 2205DSS in 0.5 mol/L and 1 mol/L HCl solutions.The results indicated that 2205DSS had good pitting corrosion resistance in HCl solution．
