    FAILURE ANALYSIS OF THE CENTRAL TUBE IN A WASTE HEAT BOILER FOR SULPHUR RECOVERY UNIT

    • Through physical,and chemical analyses from design,material selection,production,running condition,corrosion and stress.When the adjustment at the end of the central pipeline was opened too widely,the main reason for the damage of the central pipeline was high temperature oxidization.When the adjustment was closed or the openness was not enough,the main reasons for the damage were corrosion sulfuric acid dew point corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.
