Effect of Alkaine-Earth Metals Ca and Sr on Corrosion Resistance of Magnesium Alloys

This paper reviews the application of alkaline-earth metal addition to magnesium alloys.It provides some recent research progress in the effect of the individual addition and combinative addition of Ca and Sr on microstructure and performance of magnesium alloys.In particular,the rules of Ca and Sr in corrosion resistance of magnesium alloys are emphasized.Their similarity and difference in corrosion resistance are discussed.
