Abstract
The influence of temperature and sulfur ion on the electrochemical behaviors of X60 pipeline steel was studied by means of polarization curves and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS). The results showed that under the interaction of temperature and sulfur ion, the corrosion current of X60 pipeline steel increased gradually with increasing temperature. The electrode surface was covered with a dark corrosion scale after sulfur ion addition, and the corrosion potential of X60 pipeline steel became more negative with the increase of concentration of sulfur ions, and the corrosion current density showed the tendency of increase-decrease-increase. The electrode process was controlled by formation of sulfide film.
