    Evaluation of Protective Coating Systems for Transmission Tower by Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy

    • The electrochemical behavior of four different coating systems for transmission tower protection was studied by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The protective properties of the four coating systems were compared and evaluated from the properties of coating resistance, coating porosity and relative dielectric constant at 10 kHz.The results showed that the order of protective properties was A-D>B-C>B-D>A-C, and agreed with the results of neutral salt spray testing.
