    Numerical Calculation of Erosion-corrosion for Choke during Fracturing

    • Hydraulic fracturing technique has great potential. Fracturing technology is limited because of the effect of erosion-corrosion. Using computational fluid hydrodynamics method, the mathematical model of liquid-solid for erosion-corrosion was established based on laws of fluid flow. SIMPLE algorithm was used to solve the equation. The results show that erosion-corrosion of choke mainly occurred in the inlet and outlet sections. Erosion-corrosion of inlet section was more serious. The effect of erosion-corrosion increased with the increase of inlet pressure and viscosity of fracturing fluid. The results can provide guidance to the optimum design of choke.
